This was negatively received by an what appears to be a majority of the active forum users, many stating they do not intend to join the Discord server. Posting new content will be disabled on the 28th of July, only three days after the first announcement, with the forums intended to stay in read-only mode until October when they will finally be shut down.
Wargaming announced that it will shutdown its World of Warships Forums in all regions (NA, EU, SEA RU unclear as it was split off several months ago) on the WOWS website, intending to move the community over to Discord.
